Same noise level at load, similar GPU temp at load (MSI slightly wins), similar mem and VRM temps (Gigabyte slightly wins), and the Gigabyte overclocks slightly better. But overclocking varies slightly from card to card anyways, so we could put that down as being in the error margin.
Get whatever is cheapest and/or has the best bundle.
I considered that cooler for my 780 just because it looks so sweet :D, but I went for the EVGA after looking and asking around the web for opinions on which company was the best, although the ACX SC is a reference board on the 780ti it has a plate as a heatsink for the VRAM and VRMS extra. I Have to say its a very quiet cooler to.
I know its probably irrelevant but I had a MSI Twin Frozr III 7950 before and it ran very hot until I removed the cooler and replaced the TIM, they put far to much on at the factory, and compared to the ACX it was loud as hell above 55% fan speed, though to be fair it didnt get there that often after I fixed it. Thats my experience anyway, plenty of people with good experiences of MSI I'm sure.
I heard good things about the Gigabyte Windforce cooler but I cant offer any personal experience with the company or their cards. My 2c :)

I ordered Gainward now. It's pretty neat, since they are in Germany and I am in Switzerland, so if it breaks, the whole rma process doesn't take so long.
The EVGA ACX SC seems like a great card but is significantly more expensive (by ~£50) which seems a bit too much extra. I hope your experience with the MSI was a rare case and/or doesn't happen in the 780 Ti Gaming but that is something to note.
A decent card but it cost a bit more than the two I originally mentioned (~£30 extra). From TechPoweredUp's review[www.techpowerup.com] it doesn't seem to be as quiet as other coolers while it's temperatures are decent but not amazing. The backplate and appearances are nice but nothing about it seems to make it look better than the others.
So far the main contenders seems to be the Gainward Phantom, Gigabyte Windforce and MSI Gaming (with the former two slightly ahead).
