Logitech G930 Headset Problems
Ever since i got this headset sometimes when my computer would turn on, my audio would be so low i could barely manage to hear anything with maxed out volumes. A simple restart would have fixed thise sometimes.
Now my volume is stuck at this ridiculously low level and restarts will not fix it. My computer volume is maxed, the application audio in mixer is maxed, the game volume is maxed, the headsets volume is maxed, AND IT IS STILL TOO LOW.
I seriously am going to go crazy due to this and I dont understand why.

Can anyone help?

Make sure you have no Audio programs that interfear, or download Logitech's G930 driver. Maybe the headset isn't plugged in, or your USB could be messed up.

I swear I replied to this thread already somewhere.

Did you try turning off channel phantoming?

If you remove the LGS software the headset works much better but you'll lose surround. Worth it though.

its not changing dynamicly during an application or anything. I will turn my headset on and everything will be quiet from then on out. Sometimes a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ will fix it, but it is constantly at extremely low volume

it will be fine on startup, but the headset will disconnect and reconnect from the base station and after that it will be low

Is there a feature called channel phantoming in the Logitech Gaming Software?

I.e. the feature that makes it hop between wireless channels (1-13) to find the best one with least interference?

If so, try turning it off and see if the problem persists. If that doesn't help, change your wifi channel in your router so it is different from your headset one.

Then try completely removing the Logitech Gaming Software from starting up with Windows.

How would i remove the software from starting up with windows?

Start -> Programs -> StartUp -> Delete Logitech Software

Then, after you reboot, it should not load it automatically anymore. See if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then that was your issue. Also you can then try and manually start the software and see if the problem persists.

This problem also occured earlier, but whenever i play most games audio (like gunshots/footsteps/ anything originating from the player) only comes out of the right earcup.
The earlier fix i did does not fix this problem anymore.

Man - those headphones are just full of issues, relating to their drivers apparently. They are on my blacklist now (which is growing).

A google netted this

1) Look on your system try (Lower right, by the clock)
2) Right-click the speaker
3) Click "Playback devices"
4) Highlight the G930
5) Click "Configure"
6) Click next (for me all I could pick was 7.1)
7) Uncheck "Side pair" & "Rear pair"
8) Click Next
9) Make sure that "Front left and right" is only checked
10) Click next, click finish
11) With the G930 still highlighted, click "Properties"
12) Go to the "Enhancements" tab
13) Make sure "Channel Phantoming" is checked.
14) If it is already checked, uncheck and recheck it, then click apply.

After follwing these steps, this should fix the audio in the right ear only and bass distortion! Hope this helps.

Interesting. I use the Logitech Gaming Software and my Logitech 930, G700, and G510 all work perfectly.

The first part was my first fix which doesnt ork now, and when i check channel phantoming that causes the earphones to drastically lower in volume, and they are low to begin with.

Try hooking them to your PC a different way if you can. They might not be hooked up right. I'm not sure what else it could be.

I had the same issue as the thread-creator. My volume was very low, and I tried all of the answers above and none of them worked for me. I fixed it though by uninstalling the Logitech G930 USB Driver and all that is connected to the headset. (Even Logitech Gaming Software) I re-installed it all and adjusted the settings to what I wanted. The problem was fixed, so in short, try and re-install all the Logitech software that has anything with the headset to do. That should hopefully do it!
