get a 560 TI http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-560-Ti-1GB-DDR5-PCI-E-2-0-16x-DirectX11-SLI-/390744337381?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item5afa2d6be5
but if you plan to play MORE games I would reccomend something better, ATLEAST 660 ti
is this not possible without a $150 graphics card? i'd also like to stick to cards available through bestbuy.com or walmart.com since i have giftcards from christmas
is there a way to receive email notifications of replys like other forums have?
thanks for the help bty
kamina is this the card your talking about and is it compatible with my pc?
XFX Radeon HD 7750 Graphic Card-800MHz Core-1GB DDR5 SDRAM-PCI Express 3.0 x16
It's compatible if you have a PCI-E x16 slot. They're all backwards compatiable as well.
i would rather get 20-30 fps in dayz and not have to change psu than get 40-50 fps and have to change psu. like i said this is the only game i want to play on pc.
thats actually great to hear since i woke up to a clogged chimney thats going to cost a bit to have cleaned. lol im hoping i can grab the 7750 for an extra $30 but if i cant after fixing the chimney i can definatly swing the gt 640

As is evident in the link above, an HD7750 would be worth it if you can afford it but either is absolutely fine :)
People on the Steam forums have a bad habit of recommending excessively powerful hardware for people who aren't looking for that
haha thats all forums.
join a guitar forum all the sudden you need a 50yo guitar and amp to sound good
join a photography forum all the sudden you need $8k worth of kit to take baby pics
i knew i was in for that here and tryed to do most of the research before posting because im used to that with forums. its not an intentional thing people just get used to top of the line gear and cant see recomending someone else buy gear that they wouldnt use themselves.
i probably would be gung ho into it if i still played other pc games but the only pc game i ever really got into was Americas Army about 10 years ago. seeing a few youtube bids on dayz by accident made me want to try again but without dumping massive amounts of cash into it like i did with other hobbies. its a little easier to get a good bit of your money back selling guitars and camera gear than it is used pc parts.
