Are ASRock Motherboards Good Or Bad?
What are your experiences with ASRock motherboards? Can you 'trust' them? What is the chance of a ASRock motherboard dying?

Never had them but reviews are not exactly flattering.
I used ASUS and Gigabyte myself. MSI is not bad too for Intel CPU's, just avoid it for AMD.

Well, Asus was the parent company to Asrock. So Asus basically re-branded an item for cheaper. But now Asrock is owned by Pegatron, and Asrock is making nicer boards to compete with Asus's mid-high end boards but still be cost effective.

I buy Asus because the customer service is awesome, in my experiences. But considering Asrocks history and current competitive trend, id say buying Asrock board would be a good choice.

I think they're average but I'm not sure. I go for Asus, MSI and Gigabyte personally.

Depends what your using it for when it comes to any motherboard... It's more about the layout and features you desire to put to good use.

I would personally suggest the ASUS ROG series (Republic of Gamers) or high-end Gigabyte motherboards, such as the G1 Sniper. Why? Not due to the overclocking abilility but because of that they use much higher quality components. Great room for the graphic card(s). The layout is also much better than standard motherboards and you will find them much easier to work with and allow for future proofing/updates. They also tend to have most of the features gamers are looking for - separated part for quality 5.1 surround sound onboard audio, higher performance/monitored network/ethernet, high-end capacitors, 4-way SLI or CrossFireX, USB 3.0 onboard acceleration, ultra durable technology, multiple fan control and digital power controllers (12 or more Phase Power).

Guru3d is one of the most reknown review sites. If youve ever heard of Driver Sweeper, thats where it originated a ways back when they were partners (Now known as Driver Fusion).

i prefer ASUS myself, but MSI does have some good high end boards.

Nope. Just XFX EVGA and ASUS.

Though id suggest MSI over a brand like ASRock when it comes to Intel.

ASRock makes nice motherboards. The day I see any of them offering lifetime warranties, I'll definitely tout them as the best.

My AMD ASrock 970 died after a few months.

My 1155 ASrock extreme4 however has been flawless running an overclocked 3570k. been going strong for quite awhile now.

I think they are pretty decent motherboards. My AMD board dying was my own fault i beleive.

My last board was a780 Asrock that lasted 3 years before I upgraded to 1150. Never had any problems with it.

My bro just bought parts for his new rig with an Asrock Motherboard. He's been using it for a while and their's no problem with it. It's a nicely build mobo at a great price when I build it for him.
