SteamOS for Raspberry Pi
I have a Raspberry Pi that I literally have no use for, so I'm wondering if it is possible to install SteamOS on it. I'm aware that it has issues with ARM and SteamOS, but is there a workaround?

I have no experience with SteamOS nor RasPi, but Steam requires at least 1 GHz and Raspberry Pi only has a 700 MHz processor? I also doubt whether the RasPi's processor is able to handle the highly visual UI of SteamOS. If you want to run SteamOS without spending a lot of money get an AMD APU for 50-80 bucks and use a small Micro-ITX motherboard with a 350 W power supply in a small case and you've got a small living room computer that can run most older games and some newer ones on the lower settings. My friend for example used his RasPi as a recording system for his TV with a large 2 TB hard drive. You can also try running a lighter version of Linux on it.

Considering Raspberry Pi is ARM based CPU, it is quite limited in what it can run.
You could perhaps put a Linux distro on it + Steam Client for Linux. But at the current time, SteamOS will not run on that, no.

As far as a cheap build, avoid AMD APU or Radeon. As you will have to know how to manually install AMD drivers for that to work properly.

If you do make a cheap build for SteamOS, the motherboard has to support UEFI or it will not work.

Perhaps later on as SteamOS matures it will support wider range of hardware from the initial install, but for now it is rather limited.

Ah yes I forgot, SteamOS only supports NVIDIA graphics cards at the moment. AMD APUs are fine for gaming, I can even game on a GeForce 405 after a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of overclocking, and if you get hungry for power you can get a separate GPU later on.

There's already workaround for this.

Can u link me to it plz?
I know there is a work around for using Radeon GPUs. But I can't find one for UEFI. As the AMD CPU / NVIDIA GPU system I wanted to test it on does not have UEFI BIOS.
