Is there an update on the NVIDIA site?
If you reformatted your comp did you bother to install the graphic drivers?

Windows Update should have installed some if you did all the updates.
Just go to nvidia's website and try to scan for your card. If that doesnt work then download the drivers manually.
Also check under hardware and see if your integrated card is in there. If your old one is there. oust it. But wait until you have the new drivers.
Go to Control Panel > Device Manager
Then double-click on Display Adapters; what all is listed there?

I'm assuming you're on a laptop & have NVIDIA Optimus.

If that is the case; just open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings > Preferred GPU > Set NVIDIA GPU to preferred default and Apply.

Microsoft basic display adapter and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M show up, they're both enabled....

I had already found the driver and stuff, but it is unable to run. It gives me an error saying I need an intel (r) driver. It does not specify which one, and everytime I try to download the intel stuff i had before the refresh, it says i don't meet minimum requirements,(which they don't specify what those are)
Most likely reason for saying that your system does not meet the hardware requirement for a driver when on a laptop is because the OEM has their driver installed, which can prevent the reference drivers from being used.

What you need to do first is just restart the system so your at a freshly loaded desktop again.

Then go to Control Panel > Programs and Features. Find the NVIDIA entries and Uninstall them.

Once they are uninstalled, u should asked to restart Windows, if not, do it manually after the uninstall has completed and the program has closed out.

After reboot, Windows might auto install a Generic VGA Driver, let this finish before u do anything. If asked to restart again, please do.

Then install the latest NVIDIA driver that is meant for your model of GPU (Mobile / Notebook) and your OS version.
So are you saying uninstall everything that is NVIDIA?
What all is listed for NVIDIA within Programs and Features?

FYI, the reason for such an uninstall is that to be able to use driver from NVIDIA directly, u will need to first remove the OEM branded driver.

And what is an OEM branded driver?
A driver that ships with a laptop, or a driver from the laptop makers website or disc.

What might be the reason that NVIDIA control panel doesnt come up on my desktop? I know it should, I just may not have the correct things downloaded. And Im looking into doing the stuff you said earlier.
I fixed it, thanks for all your input so much
