this is easily said but if you bought headphones without a detachable aux cable then rip your off to the soldering job
best headphones this far still remains philips fidelio x2hr not just for being a excellent open back headphones but the headband is 2 rods bend into each speaker that is also made of metal on top it has a detachable cable which is very long and then as a plus the earpads can be replaced however they are made of fabric so you can practically wash them or detach and clean them
this fixes 3 problems :
1. headband snaps due to fatigue of the plastic or to far bend
2. cut in the cable that forces you to purchase a new one or do soldering
3. needing to replace the earpads because they break apart after a while
i know i am kinda selling you headphones but just at least consider the 3 problems with headphones i have never had the speakers fail because how could i have had them fail if always 1 or 2 would happen before the speakers cut out
