Is installforge safe to install and use?

I downloaded installforge from their website IFSetup.exe and when i scanned it with virustotal it says it has 9 trojans are these all false positives?

If it's a Mod Manager, this game doesn't need that. Mods are mostly simple drag & drop, done, load up the game and enjoy.

It's to make installers for programs not mods. And most mods need a mod installer not drag and drop on the games exe.

I'm from the usa and even i heard of virustotal. You use it to scan a website for viruses and or a file for viruses. It's open to the whole world. It uses like 60 some antivirus scanners to scan a website or file.

I've never tried an online virus scanner. The built in Windows Defender does a good enough job for me.

See that's the thing windows defender says it's clean but virus total does not. So i'm not sure if i want to fully trust what windows defender says.

If you trust Virus Total, and distrust Windows Defender then believe it and assume the file is malware.

I meant drag and drop into the game folder or a mods folders. Yes for MOST games its that simple

But this isn't for games or mods. Well i guess you can use it to pack your game files for your game to make an installer to install your game on peoples computers.

I decided to go with inno setup it's also free and it came back 100% virus free. Now i got to learn python.

lol either people are trolling or they really think virustotal and anyrun are malicious while their sole creation was security virustotal scans the file or site you send them then throws them to every virus scanner there is including windows defender it also tells you if it creates files and such

anyrun is a live sandbox you can actually interact with the sandbox and have a comprehensive listing of what exactly a program is doing in realtime

if you think both of these sites are malware themself then i bet you consider hyperv and windows sandbox malware aswel as they are not preinstalled and have to be installed by entering start then typing "turn windows features on or off" but wait what if that is malware aswel?

wel there is always the option to unplug the internet cable and life a hermit life most malware these days are not destructive and often require them to download a payload but if they infect a offline pc how are they going to download that payload?

also your precious windows defender has a bypass script floating around on github which works on both windows 10 and 11
