can i run rtx 3050 8gb vram with on my bronze 450w psu?
i know the required power supply (PSU) says 550w on nvidia website, but can 450w enough for it to run rtx 3050 8gb? or should i buy rtx 3050 6gb which requires 300w psu

So you only have 450 and want to upgrade to 3060,
1 8pin cable have 150watt, CPU let say 65watt, dont care the others part so technically you have more headroom, just dont buy the OC brand card but my humble opinion, go find how max TDP that card does
*Disclaimer
I see somebody test 850watt and it can draw till 900watt 950 shutdown
idk what the other guy is talking about but yes your 450w PSU will be fine for a 3050 8GB.
that said i'd personally go with ether the RX 6600 as it's really close in price and faster or the 7600 if you can afford a slight bump in price.

Yeah should be fine. RTX 3050 is only 70W TDP card.

to around 100w gpu is ok with a 450w psu
as long as the ps isnt trash and overrated

unless you are using a 200+w cpu, or lots of other stuff in the build,
many hdds, or other cards and using the pc to charge usb everything

The 80+ Bronze/Gold/Platinum etc. has nothing to do with the capacity or "quality" of a PSUs power delivery. It is a measure of efficiency.

You should reference the GPUs system requirements to answer your question.

So no, I wouldn't recommend running an RTX 3050 8GB with a 450W PSU; regardless if it is bronze, gold, platinum, titanium, or unobtanium. Either upgrade your PSU with one that has the capacity requirements for your intended system components or get a GPU that doesn't exceed your systems capabilities.

Oops yeah. Then you should go with 6 GB version or swap out the PSU for better.

i have the supplimentary power connector which is 1x PCIe 8-pin but my psu aint that strong since its 450w. so judging by your detailed answer ig i will go with rtx 6 gb
