Monitor will turn off with "no signal" every time a games starts or sometimes during gaming.
So i'm updating from a previous post from another user having similar issue as me.

My pc specs :
Ryzen 7 5700X3D w NH-D15
Dell RTX 3080 10GB deshroud
Asrock B550M-itx/ac
40GB DDR4 3200Mhz
Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold
1 NVME SSD -Health Good-
1 Sata SSD -Health Good-
1 Sata HDD -Driver Warning YES in HWinfo-
Deepcool CH160 case

So previously i had this issue of black screen crash whenever i open a game as it enters the opening screen, doesn't matter if its Dota2, CS2, GoW Ragnarok or even RDR2.
I can still hear the sound coming from the PC but I can't force close the game or anything with ALT-F4.
I manage to solve the issue as I was using a PCIE 3.0 Riser, and every time the issue happened I have to unplug the gpu from the mobo because the black screen would continue even after restarting the PC. Changed case with standard layout with no riser and no issue for a while.

Now it starts back again but randomly, and sometimes replicable. Sometimes the blackscreen happens when I am in game, sometimes it happens during the opening title of the game. It never happens when otherwise.

So i thought it was a hdd issue that cause it to crash & black screen so i transfered some of the game into my ssd and unplug the hdd from power and sata connection but the problems still happens.

I just updated to the latest nvidia game ready driver 566.36 and i'll continue to update on the issue.

The previous post mentioned about having psu issue, and i just hope it's not that.

Update: CS2 still cause black screen on opening screen after driver update

2nd Update: Changing the resolution in nvidia app from the default (4k) to monitor resolution (2k), still doesn't make it difference and will black screen.
Worse is that, now after restart, the no signal continues. Had to turn off the whole system from the plug, and turning it back on boots it back to normal. Not really sure what to do next.
I can replicate the issue every time i launch CS2.

3rd Update 14/12/24
So i tried using a different hdmi cable, still the same. Dont have a dp cable so i'd probably go find one soon.
Since some are concern about temps, i updated the specs for the cooler, using a NH-D15 and deshroud gpu with 2 120mm arctic P12 Fans and 3D printed fan duct.
CPU sits about 40°C idle and upper 50 and mid 60 during game.
GPU depending on the title, cs2 is at 70-80 core temps, 90 on memory and hotspot temps on max visual settings and RDR2 is about the same maybe slightly higher.

I tried running OCCT on power consumption test for 1 minute just to see if there's a problem with a sudden spike of cpu gpu power and it finished the test. Will try longer test soon.

Ran furmark 1440p and it runs fine too.

So I turned the 144hz monitor refresh rate to 120hz in windows but didn't like to keep checking and was already frustrated. Open Marvel rivals and it was fine for multiple games. Didn't crash.

Launch dota2 and play 2 rounds and it was fine.

Maybe just maybe its just a cs2 problem or monitor refresh rate problem. Will try again tonight.

Put your hand toward the rear of the case or wherever the mobo's ports are

Is there a lot of static electricity?

Are your temps okay?

Is the monitor set as the correct one? Did you recently swap monitors and it thinks the other one is hooked up? Try a different DP cable and/or port or whatever port type you're using

lets try your GPU health first by undervolt, i dont know in nvidia usually it have powerlimit watt make it to 90% or -10%
if it crash then it's not power issue, could be GPU, or monitor
for the GPU lets try using other port DP/ HDMI, on your monitor too,
use better cable
what is your CPU cooler?
ITX case meaning smoll, smoll meaning overheat chance
turn off fanless/echo mode on your PSU
so when you say had to turn off the whole system , the PC RGB, fan is on but no signal? or just no response? it seems overheat symtom
get a flashlight, look at PCIE your gpu, smell or see are they anomaly like melting something, and on your PSU side

hopefully you turn off the pc before unplugging the gpu
or do you mean to just unplug the display cable?

anything overclocked?

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

and psu brand/model/age?

if the pci-e riser is only rated for 3.0, in bios limit pci-e to 3.0

I had a similar issue before with an RTX 3070 Super. Turns out the card was bad. I only found out because I contacted Nvidia for support for the problem; they had me run a bunch of tests and the results made it seem like faulty card. Ended up shipping it off to them for a free replacement.(had to pay shipping)

If you have an older GPU; try swapping it out if you can and playing. If you still experience the issue; then it is likely something else as others have suggested.

Well well well, alot of posts/replies but nobody asked about your monitor, what monitor model/manufacture are you using right now? How many monitors did you got? Also did you installed something related to monitor or basic scripts from startup support for monitor only? What was setting from your monitor?
Oh by the way, all components are still under warranties or just expired? <=This is important.

if the monitor osd is saying no signal, then its cable, gpu, psu or something causing the pc to turn off or standby mode, no need for its info at all

monitors never need drivers
the gpu uses edid to ask the display for its supported res/refresh infos

Actually some people messy with scripts you may search yourself with "How to avoid somebody spy your screen monitor when nobody at your room". It's kind of complicated way!

if the pci-e riser is only rated for 3.0, in bios limit pci-e to 3.0

For the riser, i already set the bios to limit to gen 3. Won't solve the issue, i think the riser was busted. Which is why i just use the standard layout, changed case and reset it back to gen4 not automatic.
No over clock or under volt for gpu. Cpu is undervolt by negative offset curve optimizer in bios to -30.

Cooler Master v850 sfx gold is only 3 years of age.

For the others mentioning monitor
Main monitor is Viewsonic vx2758-2kp-mhd 1440p 144hz using the hdmi port 2 that support the high resolution high response time, not sure of which hdmi generation.
Second monitor is an old benq gw model 1080p 60hz using dp to hdmi converted.

Already disconnect the second monitor and just used the main monitor but still having the issue.

Currently i've set the frame rate to 120hz in Windows and dota2 and marvel rivals doesn't black out. Have not tried cs2 or rdr2 yet, maybe tonight.

Did you re-configured from NVIDIA Control panel also from Windows before unplug anything related to 2nd monitor benq gw model 1080p 60hz?

Not sure about that, i did check the nvidia app after disconnecting the monitor and nothing to configure. Shut down the pc properly and manage to play the 2 games mentioned after setting the monitor refresh rate to 120hz using windows.

So its either monitor problem or just cs2 settings.

Maybe try power cycle your monitor once a day, just in case if you have bad grounding

Just unplugged your monitor from the power socket when you sleep, for your PC switch off the PSU

Replace your cable. That may solve everything.
