The alcohol they use in swabs is a gentle solvent and it's probably fine on a monitor screen, but it's not something I would try. Far too expensive to risk. I would only use it if you have a really bad stain and only use it once.

no, do not use solvents on a display ever
just water and gently wipe
cleaners on cables can be ok, but still water is better

I used to use glasses lens wipes. It didn't do any damages as far as I could tell.

Now, I use CyberClean goo. It works on screens just as well as getting dust and crumbs out of keyboards and bezels. Unfortunately, that stuff seems to have been discontinued and I can only find knockoffs now.

If I use alcohol or foam glass cleaner on my Oled panel it just makes a mess. Warm water and using the cloth that came with the monitor and tissue to dry it. I have to rinse and repeat, until there are no smears left. My Oled is much pickier then my other monitors.

I wear glasses, so I use the cloths I have to clean my monitor and my TV. Just dab a bit of water on it.

It cleans well, doesn't scratch or leave any smearing. I do the same for my laptop, tablet and phone

Unless your Display is covered by a hard coating such as "Gorilla Glass" then no, it's a soft coating and alcohol "could" eat away at it over time or create areas that will lead to discoloration when you actually view the panel being powered on with various color tests and then start to notice inconsistencies in various areas of the screen over time.

Most phones, the screen has a hard coating on it, so alcohol like Iso Alcohol 90+ % can't really hurt it.

On a Monitor or TV panel it's best to just use a non-abrasive cloth + warm water; but not enough to have the water "run" as you don't want any liquid build up entering the very bottom of your panel, as that is often where some of the PCB electronics stuff is located.

I say could because there are many different levels of quality for that tinted coating on your screen. So best bet is avoiding using such a chemical as by the time you realize it does actual damage, it will be too late and you won't be able to correct it, plus you'd be voiding any/all warranty of said device as well.

When it comes to Monitors / TVs also best bet is to avoid touching the actual screen panel that produces light to avoid finger-prints, smudges, oil build up.

An alternative to Iso Alcohol would be Hydrogen Peroxide. This product is even good for cleaning or sanitizing human skin. As it's food-grade safe and even safe to gargle with and clean your mouth areas with. However, be careful with HP coming into contact with other chemicals such as Iso Alcohol, Bleach, or Hand Sanitizers that contain alcohol. HP is also good for cleaning cuts/wounds, but avoid getting it into your nose or eyes directly.

Or you just grab micro fiber cloth swipe it clean. Or you could using Multipurpose Spray on micro fiber cloth and start cleaning your monitor. Good day!

Better avoid blue color alcohol, using liquid alcohol like back in 2019-2022 but with lesser amount I supposed. Man these days
OH AND DON'T FORGET, Alcohol may produced molds or mushrooms like. Or some people may extreme reacted with alcohol and causing issues. Hehehe, buying vodka for now meme.
