Multiple HID / Keyboard / Mice in Device Manager?
I'm not sure if this actually a problem or not, but I noticed I have multiple instances of HID devices, keyboards and mice in my Windows 7 Device manager.

I have the following hardware:
-Razer BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard
-Logitech G502 Proteus Core Mouse

Device manager shows the following:

Human Interface Devices:
  • HID-compliant consumer control device
  • HID-compliant consumer control device
  • HID-compliant consumer control device
  • HID-compliant device
  • HID-compliant device
  • HID-compliant device
  • HID-compliant device
  • HID-compliant device
  • HID-compliant device
  • Logitech Gaming Virtual Keyboard
  • Logitech Gaming Virtual Mouse
  • Razer BlackWidow Ultimate
  • Razer BlackWidow Ultimate
  • USB Input Device
  • USB Input Device
  • USB Input Device
  • USB Input Device

Keyboards:
  • HID Keyboard Device
  • HID Keyboard Device
  • HID Keyboard Device
  • Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

Mice and other pointing devices:
  • HID-compliant mouse
  • HID-compliant mouse
  • Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

I don't have other USB devices plugged in other than external harddrives, external card readers and a USB mic.

On the latest reformt, I previously had non USB keyboard (removed), and a Razer Diamondback mouse (removed), and no other USB devices.

Any advice?

Thank you!

-Arin

Ah, this is very recent, great. Yes, same here. I have 5 HID keyboards, 4 HID mice in their respective sub-menus. And my HID sub-menu is somewhat similar to yours, but I'm not gonna type it all out, exactly.

Drivers tend to stay on your computer and stay visible in the device manager even if they are removed. Others are drivers for other purposes possibly used for other hardware that isn't explicitly stated.
Although, it's best to leave that stuff alone unless something there is causing a problem or you want to disable or uninstall a specific thing.

It's quite normal to have multiple HIDs under Windows...

A human interface device or HID is a type of computer device that interacts directly with, and most often takes input from, humans and may deliver output to humans.

USB Ports will also add to that list, even if currently unused.

Plugging in and removing devices such as your iPod, iPhone, Camera, and external HDD, etc. Or moving your keyboard/mouse from one port to another, etc. Perhaps you plug the device into USB port 1, then next time USB port 2, etc. You find they get created and merely stick around afterwards. However, they don't affect the system and should be left there. Most are there for future functions to work and be accessed faster for the same driver.

If you're not fluent with Windows and you're not having problems, don't worry about it.
Thank you.
I have the problem, that my mice disconnects randomly in CS:GO and when i looked up device-manager, I saw that my keyboard got listed 2 times but my mice not at all.
like this:

Keyboards:
HID Keyboard Device
HID Keyboard Device
HID Keyboard Device
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

Mice and other pointing devices:
HID-compliant mouse
HID-compliant mouse
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

Is this the reason why my mice gets disconnected randomly and how do i fix this? thanks

No. you have problem with usb ports | drivers | power management settings or PSU and mobo

you can remove this devices by adding set devmgr show nonpresent devices=1 to environment variables, open device manager and choose show hidden devices - just delete grayed devices it's history of connected devices, when you change ports where insert devices, devmgr make new entry in registry (CurrentControlSet)

The drivers stay, yes. But the devices do not (at least not visable in the device manager).
The registry keeps track of devices and their device id# anytime something is connected/installed. Under WinOS normal mode, old devices shouldn't be showing in the device manager, that is not normal at all. Now it can occur when you are viewing WinOS via safe mode, old, still installed devices (according to the Windows Registry) might still remain, but this however is normal.

most usb wireless keyboard or mouse recievers are seen as a mouse and keyboard
Also alot of the backlit keyboards will show as two devices as well. Especially for many of them that require you to physically plug in 2x USB cables (basically one for the Keyboard itself, and another for the LED lighting and/or internal USB Hub)

logitech g keyboards show as 2 keyboards and 1 mouse, they use 1 set to emulate the key/mouse buttons when running macros
I'm pretty sure that keyboards with advertised n-key rollover using USB emulate different keyboards for that effect.

its a techquickie
Use Device Cleanup Tool to remove all disconnected devices from the Device Manager, it removed like 15 extra HID Keyboards that weren't even enabled. https://www.uwe-sieber.de/misc_tools_e.html
Okay, so I have a similar problem. I have three HID Keyboards and im not sure what to do with them. do I delete them? or do i let it stay
