What does this mean in event logger?​
Display Event ID: 4107 A caller specified the SDC_FORCE_MODE_ENUMERATION flag in a call to the SetDisplayConfig() API


I have found that. Its not warning but INFORMATION. Is this bad or normal?

I'm necro posting this because I see the same event around the time I'm trying to diagnose my monitors randomly rebooting in the middle of playing games.

That Microsoft article is for APPLICATION log Event ID 4107 from the Source: Microsoft-Windows-CAPI2

The event that OP has posted is in the SYSTEM log from the Source; Display.

As the title says, the event is called SDC_FORCE_MODE_ENUMERATION and has nothing to do with that Microsoft certificate event which is related to APPLICATION logs.

As long as it s not marked as error and the monitor works well , one can skip it . No worries . Exceptions are triggered and cast often . I see no reason to worry .

dude im having the same issues with my monitors. They both randomly turn off and say connection lost (both 1440p, 144hz monitors using display port to MSI rtx 3080). Then it's 50/50 whether or not I get a white light on my motherboard (vga error) upon reboot and have to unplug the DPs from the GPU and/or swap them around to get it to even post correctly...
I sent you a friend request in case you DID find a solution for this, or if any of my symptoms matched yours. Cheers.

edit: I forgot to add a very important key detail, I find that same display error eventID 4107 in event log as you did. That's my purpose for commenting lol.
