case fan connections
hello,i hsve started to build my computer but have run into a small problem, i am using a rog gene mobo, the case fan connecters are four pins but the plugs on my case fans are only 3 , i have checked all of the board but there are no 3 in connectrs (case is cooler master siloncio 352)

I think 3 on the fan is compatible with the 4 pin on the board isn't it?

If they fit without forcing then I think it will work fine.

The 4th pin is for speed management of the fan, so yea connecting the first 3 pins are good enough. Just make sure you connect it in the right way.

yes, the 4 pin header will work on a 3 pin fan
the 4th pin is for pwm to control the fan speed, youll need to tell the mobo to control the fan speed by voltage instead of pwm

3pin fans work on 4pin headers; 4pin headers have an empty area infront of that 4th pin so the tab there only covers a 3pin fan and that way not blocking its usage.
