Then why are so many people building or buying a PC based around 13th or 14th Gen i7/i9? The power consumption is way too high.
If I had a Million $ I wouldn't buy into that platform.
i would be interested in the rtx 5000 series, because who can say, if nvidia has been able to, to make the 16 pin adapter for the power of the grafix board from the psu working. it is not too far away from me to believe that. i say: lets see it in the near future. what else can you do?
byebye
comes lose too easy or does seat correctly all of the time
any stress on its connector gives potential problems
and every 2 generations I got double the performance at the same 250W..
I ask you where is the 700 euro 4080ti that has double 2080ti performance at 250W?
a 4090 does indeed have about double that performance.
but at 2200 euro it's a serious NOPE
and at 450W again NOPE
they would :
2200 euro = price 4090.
*380 euro = Vat
*90 euro = profitmargin retailer
*450 euro = cost to make a 4090
gross profit = 1280 euro.
thats an obsee profit margin
now if that 4090 chip gets undervolted to 250w to create a 4080ti that performs between a 4080S and 4090.. it likely can be made even cheaper.
if 700 :
120 vat
30 retail margin
450 priduction cost
100 gross profit
which would be a far more normal profitmargin.
4080 ti does not cost $450 to manufacture! It costs a lot more!
