updated your case to fit the new cards by now thats on you anyways.build smart !!!
The 4090 is actually a tiny card. Once i took all the after market crap off of it for an EKWB Water block cooler, it was a very small card.

Simply wrong; my water cooled 4090 will destroy anything you can do in the 3000 series. DLSS 3, upgrades to technology, drivers, etc. Especially on my 57" Samsung NEO Odyssey. Would like to see a 3000 series card drive that beast to 120+ fps on max settings.
NON-WATER COOLED DATA ALSO:
"Across all 18 titles the GeForce RTX 4090 performed on average 77% faster than the GeForce RTX 3090, a 1.8X increase in 4K performance gen on gen."
"Interestingly a number of titles ran faster on the RTX 4090 using less power than the RTX 3090, even when pushing a lot more frames. And cooler and quieter too. Even though the power draw can hit 450W, Ada is impressively efficient."

Well yes I know that, but I'm not talking about stripping it down for liquid cooling. I'm talking about using the GPU as-is with air cooling.
again this is the very reason any fab line running high end chips would end up being moved to making AI chips....they have a higher profit margin.......NgreedyA maybe forced to produce more AI chips then gaming chips simply given the profit margins......
Yea meanwhile AI Startups in China are buying all the Gaming GPUs because the 4090-D is too expensive
size gpu - no issue
the fact they are more than 100% more expensive even corrected for inflation than any card historicly did cost (scaler prices by nvidia... : a little issue..
the tdp this will imply : BIG issue...
the real progress per watt between 2000 series and 4000 series was just 10%
while for 15 years right upto the 2000 series
the best gpu always used just 250w... and the x70 aka midend.. only 120-130w.
and the xx60 aka lowend.. only 100w
if you double the performance and wattage the gain is ZERO and the need to buy is ZERO.
the 5000 series mission was clear... lower the voltages half them.. but keep 4000 series performance..
it is NOT ok for the highend card to draw 350 or 450w electricity costs a fortune!
a card with 4090 performence.. but no more than 250w.. now that be intresting...
but it should have been what the 4090 was made to pull from the getgo...
they cheaped on proper development expenses.... caring more pumping all in their ai departmeent and banking on the fact radeon aint proper competition anyweay..
giving us a half baked product at tripple the price...
saying the DIES have gotten smaller is just delusional.....they have never been bigger......
The First Descendant
Warhammer 3
Black Myth Wukong
Remnant 2
Final Fantasy 16
Lords of the Fallen
All of these have at demanded more than my RTX 3080 FE can handle. Maybe not all of the time but more than enough to make it an issue.
Also this is just at 1080p at 75 FPS.
Maybe you're not playing newer games but plenty of games out there are starting to demand more and more.
That must be on your end.
My RTX 3080 had no problems getting 60-90 FPS in Wukong; but that's with DLSS on Quality, Ray Tracing Off and also at 1440p 21:9
RTX 2070 is a joke for medium above 1080p in modern games from last couple years though; for sure.
Nothing changes.
For enthusiasts buying anything less than xx80 is a waste
