3070ti is meh for 4k.

I'd go for a 4070 super ti (whatever they're calling their crap) or a 4080 class card.

as in game in 4K on your TV with a 3070ti?

no

you could run them in 2K though, that should be fine with DLSS

for decent 4K performance you need at least a 4080 or a 7900 XTX

For 4k without spending so much is better an upgrade with the new 4070 super that it can go like a 3090. I wouldn't buy a 4080, it's so expensive.

i say: AMD 7800xt
it has 16 gb vram. the 3070 ti has 8 gb.
as far as i know.

Ok, that mean - upgrade is nessesary. With rtx 3070 ti i cant take 60 fps ?
Maybe in April, or may i buy 4070 ti super, or rx 7900 xt, or XTX, or somethink like this

Go with the best GPU you can afford, anything less than a 4080 or 7900-XTX is not really worth spending so much money because the 4070 Ti is only around 30% faster which at 4K isn't much

You can use a 4K TV and then run everything at 1080p or 1440p. 1080p tends to scale better though as far as pixel clarity is concerned

Resolution doesn't matter. Just use DLSS.
At 4K:
DLSS quality = around 1440p performance
DLSS balance = 1253p performance
DLSS performance = 1080p performance

There is a small performance cost for using DLSS but the image quality is way better than the input resolution.

If there is no DLSS then just change the resolution or use the Lossless scaling app.

Depends on the game. Some games DLSS only really gains you about 20 FPS or so.

If the TV has a nice crisp picture, it should still look good with your PC screen res set to 1920x1080 while on that 4K TV.

On some games, even with DLSS Quality setting, whole game looks like mud

I wouldn’t use 3090 or equal gpu at 4k

What is that even supposed to mean?

3080 Ti / 3090 were made for 4K

Performance at 4K with a 3080 or 4070 even is acceptable

Only using 3090 at 1440p with dlss for decent fps.

I was just saying; 3080 Ti / 3090 can easily do 4K at decent FPS in most games.

You CAN use lesser GPU for it, sure.

I don't like 4K, cause it's still 16:9

I mainly use 3080 Ti @ 1440p 21:9

Yeah I'm kind of curious about what they consider 'decent' fps if they're using a 3090 at 2560x1440 when a 3080 or 4070 is very good for that resolution
