it's only good till July, then the updates stop and I assume would need to get the next version.
The LTS is good with updates til 2025.
The LTS is based on super old software from 2022.
hi,
as far as i can see, i dont know everything, there are two types of linux: the redhat(.rpm archives) thing and the debian (.deb archives) thing. to me this is a kind of philosphy, because i am not into linux a lot, but i just had a chat with microsoft bing copilot. i asked some questions and i care about linux in common since the year 2000 or whatever. i think, that i really dont know, but maybe somebody else can explain or chat about, what i want to say?
btw: Zorin OS is .deb like ubuntu...as far as i can see.
i do not insist on, that i am right. i just wanted to mention, what i have been writing.
thx for reading.
Most software is installed by the package manager or flat/snap packs and occasionally .py scripts. Or the DIY folks who download the raw source code, tweak to taste and then compile for themselves.
Since I know nothing about Linux etc, what are you on about? :)
He is basically saying that you should never install software using installers or packages you downloaded from untrusted sources on the internet like you do on Windows. Always use the package repositories, or "app store".
zorin OS is also debian related, as far as i know and one could use "askubuntu" to answer the questions a .deb-user has....installing software and such. "sudo apt-get install xyz-software" and so on and on...if you know what i mean?

Is Hynotix similar to Kodi?
is a good site to read up on the different distros and who is doing what
Hynotix seems to be a part of Linux Mint Cinnamon.
Kodi covers Windows, linux etc.
Both allow the user to watch tv etc.
Also, just how secure is the OS? I currently use Bitdefender.
