PC won't boot up, but motherboard led is on(lights green)

Hello,

I bought new case for my computer, and today I started to move all the parts to the new Gigabyte GZ-G2 Plus,and new HDD 1TB I also have ordered ram 8 gb, and after I got all the parts in and cables the pc won't boot up but mother board light is on and i have no idea what to do as I know that the Pc worked well before.
I tried removing RAM, GPU, and changing my HDD 1TB to the old one i had but no lucky, guys got any ideas, solutions or suggestions ? please help !

Im going to play devils advocate, do a once over and check all connections are in the right place, i know that is something id miss due to rushing something so awesome as to putting together new gear.

make sure you have both power cables plugged into the mobo
20+4pin and 4/4+4 pin

if you build the system, make sure only the correct standoff locations were used

power cables to mother board is corrent i guess not loose or anything like that, sound card in just to test, power and reset cables are in correctly, all fans connected, power to cpu is in ( some power cable that is connected near the cpu fan).. and 1x2gb ram in at the moment.

over all I have 12 GB of ram, just used 1 stick to test but doesnt help. Even if i take out the whole ram from mother board the PC wont boot up...

Guys do u want any pictures to see how it looks ?

1 dimm in the socket closest to the cpu
no gpu (unless ther is no onboard gpu), no other cards
power supply 24 and 4/4+4
power button
pc speaker/buzzer
keyboard
monitor

reset bios via the jumper and try again

nothing else
no drives, no other usb devices

i tried to reset jumper, i have tried it to run it without the speakers, keyboard monitor and gpu and didnt work.

I have never rebuilt an entire system but I would still like to try and help. The green light probably means that just the motherboard is powered. The CPU socket and motherboard socket have to match so double check that. If the new case came with all the "braids" for connecting cables then you should start by making double sure everything is plugged into the right slot with the exact compatibility. There are alot of cables and although they are redundent some are very specific. There are different SATA speeds(2.0,3.0 etc...) so that would be where I would start if I were you.The motherboard might look for the old BIOS configuration which would likely be set to look for the dedicated GPU first. So unless you reset that then... Sothen the mobo might have BIOS but not be able to load the OS. Unlikely but motherboards are very delicate and therfore there is a small possibilty you broke when transfering. Does the HD power up as well? You would hear that. The next most obvious is to check the power requirements of the new MoBo compared to your power supply. Worst comes to worst put the old computer back together. Use Occams razor,test one part at a time, eliminate all the possible problems and the solution should present itself.

So you did not change the CPU from the original MoBo, just moved the whole set up. My mistake. No need to check that then. Power supply looks pretty solid and that did not change from the original set up either. Does the new HD have a OS installed? If you hear it running and and the screen goes blank it could be the problem. If you jumped the GPU then that is not the problem. Seems most definitely like a plug is in the wrong place. I would leave the RAM out of the equation for as long as possible if I were you. The stand off posts can cause a problem but I do not know much about that.

I have moved the whole mother board with the cpu, so i belive that cpu is fine, the HDD is brandnew and have no OS installed i might try again geting old HDD in try. Now i am not sure if the plugs in this picture: link for pic [i.imgur.com], as you can se on the pic the reset isnt pluged in corretly and gave me little hope, but when i fixed it back how it should be no luck. i belive that all the led + and -, power, and rest are in correct place. do i need to add the speaker into mobo or is optional (treid with and without it anyway) will give u more info when i finish testing the old HDD
