Building a new PC - are these specs suitable?

I am preparing to build a PC for Gaming and general use after my laptop has come to an end that I would rather not pay to fix. Instead I would like to evacuate all attempts to rescue this laptop and focus on a PC on which I can play games properly and have easy access to when it comes to upgrading. For now I'm not looking at anything over powerful or expensive. I have assembled the parts that I am quite happy with but before I go any further I want to enquire with the forum to make sure I am not making any mistakes with my purchase.
Please note I am going to be building this PC myself.
The parts I have selected (via PC part picker) are as follows.
CPU: AMD FX 6300 3.5 GHz 6-core processor
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM
MotherBoard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+
Hard Drive: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video card: MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower
Power supply: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX

This totals approx £414 which I am happy with. I don't want to spend much more than that.

Will this be able to run PC games to an acceptable standard?
If there is anything I need to change please let me know.

looks ok, but id go with a better mobo
h81 boads do not have usb 3.0 header (for case), and 4 dimm slots, or pci-e 3.0 slots

asrock b85 anniv isnt much more and has all of those options
