This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Does anybody know how to fix this? I can only connect with my PC wirelessly, my wired connection isn't showing up anymore. I have tried going into the BiOS and enabling it but that still isn't working. It says the drivers are up to date as well.

I've done that many a time. I will try again though....

Intel 82567LF Gigabit Network has a driver problem - Not Fixed. This is what I get everytime i try to install it again.

It will not install the drivers, it says no Intel Network adapters present on this computer.

What is the make and model of the computer or did you build it yourself? I think it's a laptop, but I don't know that for sure.

Does the adaptor show up in your Device Manager? If you're using Vista/Win 7 you can simply click on the start button and type in devmgmt.msc

Once in the Device Manager, check Network adapters - what is listed? You should see 2, one for your wireless (since you said that's currently working) and you should see one for your wired NIC. If you don't see 2, then your wired one is dead OR you have some kind of corrupted issue with Windows and it's having troubles using it - this may require a fresh windows install.

OR

You may see an ! or ? next the adapter that's not working. You can try to enable it (right click on the adapter name, choose Enable/Disable) - if that doesn't work, you can try to Uninstall (right click on the adapter name, choose Uninstall) and then reboot your computer. If Windows decects the NIC and no driver is found, as long as your wireless is working, it should hopefully automatically find, download and install the driver for your wired NIC. Or you can try to install the driver yourself.

Try using your wired LAN with a live linux. That way you can at least test if it is working at all. If it does not, you can be quite sure that the NIC is boken.

do a windows update that should find it,use wireless for the update,if not it should be on motherboard cd/dvd,your looking for the network adaptor i belive
