I am in the process of rebuilding my Desktop (changing cases and GPUs) .
So I added one of the Cards I will be using to my Server. (970GTX) Runs 2012 R2. and an additional Drive. and installed Windows 7. Now my server is used for Studying Server 2012.
Got a Free Copy coming with my second 970GTX
But since I have not completed my build, I just wanted to set up a additional drive to run STEAM for FC4.

So I did the "can you run it" and got an error with the CPU. Saying the Xeon is not compatible.

This is my server/PC set up.

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220 v3
32GB of Ram (Hey it's a server)

the 2.5 GHz Intel® Core™ i5-2400S is listed at the "recommended.

What you think??

I am afraid, that I can not (may not be able to) run it on my Alienware M14X R2 with

2.3GHz Intel Core i7-3610QM and NVidia 650m 2GB GPU.

looking up the processor, its an sse4.2/avx 3.1ghz/3.4ghz turbo quad core...probably a lot more powerful than whatever the other listed one is. i think you should be fine.

Yeah, dont think there would be problems running it with your Xeon.

Since you want to purchase and run the game, just buy it and see what the game says when you try to run it. I seriously doubt a web site like 'can you run it' even recognizes a Xeon processor as being compatible with any game. If the game won't run or runs poorly, then consider the CPU for an upgrade.

rotNdude, I will be getting a free copy from nvidia ($380 nvidia card), with the recent purchase of another 970GTX, I plan to activate, but was not sure about downloading it now or waiting until I rebuild my main gaming PC. On my gaming PC, I have a i5, 4670K.

Thanks, it puts me at ease to wait a couple of hours to download. so I can play it now and not wait I finish moving cases.
