I really want to get it, and so i am planning to purchase it in a sale soon, but i am not sure if it will run on my PC?

Is it a particularily high spec game?

Left 4 Dead 2 is six years old and on the Source engine. It's not very demanding.

Hell, I've even ran the game at decent performance on a HD 4350(albeit not at high settings).

You just got to look at the ^ recommended specs, dual core cpu, 7600gt and x1600 supports your theory that it's a low spec old game.

I played it on a x4 965BE/6870 no problems.

I know people that play this game on pretty old laptops and still manage to get 20+ fps.

My laptop is getting on a bit, and hasn't got the best (or up to date) specs, but this game runs smoothly as anything.

Here's a great article for some settings you can tweak to make it run really well even on lower-end computers. Don't even need configs or anything, just Advanced Settings: http://www.nextlevelgamer.com/left-4-dead/left-4-dead-performance-guide

Ragdolls can get intensive with AA on, i suggest that if you don't have an incredible GPU to play without it. Otherwise, any dual threads cpu with any ddr3 gpu should run l4d2 at lowest at very playable rates.

The game relies heavily on the CPU, gfx wise anything that is as fast or faster than an ATi 4870 or an Nvidia GTX 275 for 1080p at high settings with MSAA and AF applied
You need a 600 core cpu 5000 gb of ram and 500 titan x video cards. If you don't have this then you wont be able to play l4d2.

You need a High-End PC definitly. Think about getting like 2 GTX 980 with SLI and you need an Intel i7 for sure. 64 GB Ram would also be good you never know with L4D2.

You do not need a high end pc for left4dead 2!! I have 12 gb of ram and amd phenom XII 965 black edition and amd radeon hd 6850 and i don't consider that a high end pc.
