Although, to my knowledge, screen tearing is less noticeable at higher refresh rates(even at lower framerates). So turning down the refresh rate might not help with screen tearing.
So if I am wrong here my question is allready answered. But afaik with 70fps a 100Hz screen works better than 144Hz screen. The fps have to be about the same as the Hz settings to have the best synergie between your graca and the monitor.
^ This part here is solely for your Windows Desktop. Has nothing to do with games. However, if u run a game in any Windowed-Mode, when doing this the game will use the Desktop's Refresh Rate.
Games have their own setting for Res/Refresh
For Full-Screen, set that up in each game.
Asus VG248QE supports refresh rate range of 50 - 144 Hz
