ASUS MAXIMUS HERO VII or MSI Z97 G45 Gaming?
whats better for gaming?

About the only thing different between the two is the onboard audio. One has SoundFX and the other has Creative Sound Blaster Cinema. They both have the Z97 chipset, so if you stick the same components in the boards they will do equally well for gaming performance.

Obviously the Hero VII... the MSI G45 is still very good though.

I am a fan of asus products... only thing I use if possible. The hero is an excellent board.

i'm all for ASUS as well.

But it comes down to which board has the options that you need.

MSI Z97-Gaming 5 is better then G45 and price is pretty similar.

what if i already have a sound card in my pc?

And another small question, is there a diffrence in graphics card brands?

for exaple the MSI GeForce GTX970 twin frozr or the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW+ ACX 2.0+?

There both gtx 970's so they shouldnt be very diffrent right?

EDIT: i looked and the MSI gtx970 has a core clock of 1.14 and the EVGA has a core clock of 1.23. Is that why they are diffrent? Is 1.14 ghz compaired to 1.23 ghz a medium/big diffrence in the performence you get?
