GTX 970 SLI worth it?
Hello guys,

I go want my build my first PC, but I read about SLI, but is it worth it?
I go first buy a single GTX 970

This is my specs what I want.

Is it worth to get later a SLI and upgrade my PSU?
I want gaming, recording and livestreaming

sli can be worth it if the board/psu are up to it and you can get a 2nd gpu cheap enough

ss520 is fine for 1x 970 but not 2
get a quality 750w+ for 2x 970s

the board is capable, for a better psu it ist much more if you dont mind a rebate
xfx 750w is $65 ar

If you're on a 144Hz monitor and don't want to turn settings down for demanding games, sure. For 60Hz a single 970 is more than enough.

in about 2-3 years, a better gpu will be needed for future games

when that time comes, if you can get a gtx970 for around $100-150 it will be worth it
else spend $300 for a gpu that will outperform 970s sli

I use first my old monitor of 900P (I think). By enough money I buy 1080P monitor, I want 144hz

Yeah, its hard point. I have 2x 3.0 x16 PCI slots open.... And I want every thing what I paid is usefull youknow......
