Can't use WASD keys and mouse buttons at the same time.

I am having an issue in every game where you can move and shoot/place at the same time. Anytime I'm moving, I can't shoot or do anything at all if it uses my mouse buttons. I have to be standing completely still. It's in any game, Steam supported or not. Moving the mouse while moving a character is completely fine.

I had to reinstall my touchpad drivers yesterday and I'm going to guess that's the problem because everything was working fine beforehand. I tried doing it again, and no go. It's affecting both the touchpad and the external wireless Logitech I've got. I've also tried wiping the external mouse from the computer and trying a different one all together.

I'm on an Inspiron 15 7000 series laptop. It's got an Intel Core i5, running Windows 8 64-bit
Everything on it is basically factory standard. The touchpad drivers were reinstalled from the Dell website.

2. Go to Change PC Settings
3. Go to PC and Devices
4. Go to Mouse and Touchpad
5. Underneath Touchpad if you see Medium Delay, click on it and switch to No Delay(Always On)

Green is spot-on here. Is was one setting that can easily get in the way of most using a Win8 Laptop or Desktop. The reason that option is there is to help with Touch Pad and Touch Screen; and for them to basically ignore lighter, quick actions.

For gaming or as a power-user, ensure this is always set to No Delay.

Or if that doesn't work, you could do a system restore to a couple days back when you didn't have this problem.

Hm, it's not that. No delay is on.

I hope it doesn't come to that as it was a forced Windows update that broke my touchpad and forced me to reinstall the drivers in the first place.

Update!

Found out what it was! An extra piece of software was downloaded along with the drivers called TouchFreeze. Once I disabled it, everything was working fine.

This worked for me for several years, but after the most recent Windows update this option no longer exists on my computer.

If your laptop has Synaptics, you can enable the use of keyboard and mouse by tweaking "Smart Sense" to get desired results, at least for my version of the program.

Thank you so much for saying that uninstalled touchfreeze. I downloaded the program recently and I later found out that I didnt need the program but I didnt uninstall it. Found out this was the issue. Thank you so much dude.
