Razer BlackWidow problem?
Okay so when I'm playing a game that involves intense arrow pressing such as League of Legends or Binding of Isaac, my arrow keys randomly stay pressed down (not physically just the action for that arrow continues working)

To de-active it, I have to press it again. Does anyone know the problem and may know of a fix? I've only noticed it with the up and down keys so far.

I get that sometimes with my bw. It so rarely happens I haven't bothered looking into it. I have also seen it happen with a friends laptop whilst gaming.

I would clean the keyboard switches. Compressed air, isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner will usually work.

Hey thanks for the suggestions. It's only 3 week old. :/ - and also since I play League a lot I seem to notice it on a regular basis.

If it's only 3 weeks old, contact Razer.

What Operating System are you using?

Control Panel > Keyboard

Under Speed tab - Set "Repeat delay" to "Short" and "Repeat rate" to "Fast".

Make sure you have installed your keyboard drivers:
http://www.razersupport.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads

Set the Report polling rate on the keyboard to: 1000 (reports per second), unless you have a very slow computer which can't handle that fast, then lower it accordingly.

Press the 'Left Shift' key on the keyboard 5 times in a row, if it popups with a Sticky Key message, ensure you turn that off (say NO to sticky and filter keys).

You should be able to find them under Control Panel > Ease Of Access Center > Make the keyboard easier to use... untick Sticky Keys, Toggle Keys and Filter Keys if enabled.

(You might just have Toogle Keys enabled under Windows?)

If issues still occur after that and cleaning (with compressed air can or isopropyl alcohol lint-free cloth), consider a Warranty RMA.

i notice that when playing on my htpc, with pii x3 b73 (2.8)

for lol may have other issues
power supply with poor 5v/vsb regulation, may cause usb issues

@Azza - I am using Windows 7. I also have a pretty decent computer so there will be no issues there.

Where is this report polling rate you speak of?

@I - With my old keyboard, I never got a problem with the Binding of Isaac. And I also have a fast USB port with double power USB ports also.

The report polling rate is built into every mouse and keyboard, the offical software will normally let you control it. It will determines how often the device is communicated with the computer.

1000 reports per second (1000Hz) is best and standard for later model keyboards/mouses.

Full-speed USB supports a polling rate of up to 1000 reports-per-second. If it can't, then you have to use another USB port which can or adjust this polling rate to what it can handle up to. Else a keyboard/mouse on that USB will lag/hang or get stuck keys and other issues.

Razer might be using ultrapolling to automatically detect this (an USB Port Analyzer), you will have to check with your keyboard type? In which case swap around USB ports, if you have an USB 3.0 port (they are blue inside rather than black connectors), use those ones for your keyboard and mouse. Some motherboards have default ports for mouse/keyboard at the top as well. That will ensure the polling rate is working at least.

Just wondering, are you also using: http://www.razerzone.com/synapse/ ?
Or the latest drivers from: http://drivers.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=77

are you using a usb hub on on the keyboard?
or is it directly into a port on the rear of the mobo

is the paired port used with anything?
usb controlers run in pairs they are generally stacked together

if you have a high usage device, do not put it on the same controller as a keyboard/mouse

Sorry guys - didn't get on yesterday. I am using synapse and have the latest drivers. Also @_I_ my razer keyboard and razer mouse are connected in the USB's at the back of my computer (only my mouse and keyboard)
Alchemist79 Nov 12, 2014 @ 9:46am
I tried the synapse drivers and wasn't impressed, so reverted back to driver 1.04. I recommend downloading it and giving it a try.

I never found a fix for mine. Seems like it was broken from production.
