GTX 650 - 1GB can't do SLI, and if it could it wouldn't do a good job... 1 GB of VRAM isn't enough even for 1080p gaming on a single monitor.

GTX 650 Ti Boost - 2GB models I believe you will require for SLI.

Then 650W should be fine to run them both.

Just making sure you're aware:

GTX 650 = Doesn't support SLI
GTX 650 Ti = Doesn't support SLI either
GTX 650 Ti Boost = Supports SLI, G-Sync, and Nvidia Surround

It says it has SLI ready on the page. Want me to link it?
There are 2GB 650's, but im not seeing any that support SLI.

I believe Azza is correct, of the 650's only the 650Ti Boost supports SLI. And it does come equipped with 2GB of DDR5.

Have you considered a single more powerful card?

i have a 650 watts psu i have an i5 3570k 4.4ghz 2 seagate barracuda 7200rpm hard drives
with team elite 8gb 1600mhz ram with 5 120mm case fans and 1 cd drive can i run a gtx titan or should i play it safe and get a 980

A Gtx980 is faster than a titan for gaming.

GTX 980 is way better then Titan for gaming, GTX 970 would be enough too.

thanks i could also afford an r9 295x2 an upgrade my psu is that a good idea

Nah, GTX 970 and 980 are best graphics cards currently and lot more stable then dual-GPU R9 295X2.

also do you think some faster ram would be a worth while investment

Not really, 8 Gb is still quite enough for gaming and 1600 Mhz CL9 is very close to optimal performance for Intel PC. You wont get much performance at all from higher Mhz.
