Monitor Ghosting - Is there a fix?

A few days ago I made a thread about this monitor - benq gl2760h. However It seems to have a problem where when there are moving objects, or using my cursor over a blue image/picture/background there is a dark trail.

for example, if I move my mouse fast enough over a blue background, e.g desktop, I see a blueish black trail of a "ghost" cursor behind it.

I have tried another monitor, and it doesn't have this issue. I reinstalled my video drivers. is there a fix or should I return it?

Well, if there isn't some sort of option causing that in the monitor's settings and you aren't using VGA, then there's not much you can do aside from using a different monitor.

I just tried another PC with the new monitor, and the same shadowy/ghosting occurs. would it be worth the hassle of sending it back? I've tried all sorts of settings on the monitor, low contrast settings just seem to make it harder to see but it is still there.

And how much is that? I've read that others with this monitor do not have this ghosting, so there must be some defect. I'm wondering should I go to the hassle of returning it (amazon).

I may have gotten somewhere. There is a setting on the monitor, "AMA". Disabling it removed any ghosting, however there seems to be a sort of motion blur now. Noticeable, but it has removed the motion blur. is it either live with the blur, or the ghosting?

check the monitor settigns
make sure all of the video effects are off
if its trying to downsample 144hz to 60hz it wil blend all of the frame info from 2-3 frames and display 1 blurry frame

it's a 60hz monitor.

I have reset the settings. If I change the setting "AMA" to off it removes the ghosting, but there seems to be some choppyness when its off. Is this a monitor defect if there is ghosting?

If you tried another monitor and you don't have an issue, I would send it back.

You have to call them to find out if you can return it. Your decision on choosing the same monitor is between you and the vendor.

It was via Amazon. They have a form that you fill out, and give you stickers to print out. Will they decide whether the return is valid when they recieve it?
