Triple monitors on a Gigabyte R9 270?
I have an r9 270 OC windforce 2x that has a display port, hdmi, dvi-i dual link and dvi-d dual link.

I have one HDMI TV, one VGA monitor, and one VGA or DVI monitor.

Is it possible to get all 3 of these screens working on this card?

seems possible though this thread talks about r9 270x:

With Ultra Resolution Gaming you can leave HD in the dust by gaming on displays much, much larger. Whether using a 4k monitor or combining multiple HD monitors, you’ll get an expansive experience that’s truly out of sight.

be sure though to use three monitors with the same brand and display resolutions.

In order to use three monitors simultaneously, one of them needs to be hooked up via an active display port dongle. There isn't really a way around this, unless he's using one of the few new cards that happens to have the hardware support for three displays over DVI/HDMI. I believe the only cards that support this are in the R9 series.

Hmm, so I can only use one DVI and one HDMI at the same time, and the display port is separate, and one of the DVI is linked to the hdmi port?

I found a few cheap display port adapters on ebay for each port.

This is active, right?

yes.

Sweet. Thought it was at least a $30 adapter.

So DP to VGA, HDMI to HDMI, and DVI to DVI should work? Any idea which DVI shares the HDMI port?

Check the official specs on AMD.com:
http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/r9#

Scroll down and hit the specs tab. It says it can do up to 6 displays (with a displayport hub of some sort) so I assume it can also do 3 with all the pllugs that it's already got out the back.

Shouldn't be a problem, even my HD 6950 can do 4 just with it's built in plugs.

You will need a adapter for the VGA. Usually you get a free DVI to VGA adapter with your card. If not it shouldn't be more than a few $, like $5 at most I'd think.
