download minitool partition wizard bootable cd edition, burn the iso to a blank cd-r using free imageburn software.
boot from download minitool partition wizard bootable cd, delete/wipte/reformat/partition the hdd).
insert windows 7 ultimate 64bit retail disc and install it.
---
alternative: download/install minitool partition wizard free edition for windows and create partition of the hdd.
EDIT: Pending, let's see if this works
at boot time, depending on the bios maker/motherboard manufacturer, go into bios by pressing function keys: F2, F10, F11, or delete key.
when already in the bios, detect your hard drive and click 'save and exit'.
some info:
The problem is that I need to re assign a drive path in windows for my PC to see it.
To clarify, after I assign a drive letter, turn off my PC, boot up, windows no longer remembers the path and so it is hidden until I re assign the same or a new letter.
click 'Computer Management'
click 'disk management'
right click drive F and 'assign drive letter' and click' ok'
format selected partition afterwards.
re-do for the next partition K .
for ease of use, i partitioned my hdd into 4 partitions, drive C (system/boot drive), D, E, F. drive drive G is my dvd-rw drive.
drives H, I are my two virtual drives.
I do as you said, but when I reboot the drive letter is gone and the drive is hidden, however, if I create a folder and re boot and re assign letter nothing will be lost, probably something I have to get used to, unless I reinstall windows I guess...
I did this by mistake on an external I had, and I had a hella time ever getting it to
show in Windows 7.. I eventually pulled everything off it, and repartitioned and format.
All is well in my little world.. :P Possibly the same is for you??
what key did you use to go into BIOS?
under the bios settings, click 'load optimized defaults' and press 'enter' key.

I don't even know anymore
EDIT: I will try that in BIOS @chiefputsa
EDIT #2: Nope, nothing, unfortunately.
this is what my hdd looks like under minitool partition wizard free dition for windows:
also what (windows) tool did you use to capture this image?
it shows 'system reserved 100mb, active & boot' .
is this a GPT and not MBR?
