NZXT Phantom 630 Fan Controller Help

Can anyone tell me where the female fan controller plug is supposed to plug into from the NZXT Phantom 630 case? Should this be run to the power supply, motherboard, etc.?

The motherboard(look for the "sys_fan" label) if it's a smaller 3 or 4-pin connector. If it's a molex connector(which is just under 1in/2.5cm in width), just look for a matching connector from your power supply.

That fan controller uses a 4pin molex connector to power that entire unit and all connected fans; that plugs into your power supply. Then simply plug whatever 3pin fans u can (ones that will reach) into the available 3pin headers on the fan controller. As for ones like your Rear Exhaust Fan and CPU Fan I would plug those directly into Motherboard.

Ok, maybe I'm not talking about the right plug. In the pic per the link below, the plug I cannot figure out is the one on the top right. Apparently, this is the fan controller female plug. I'm still confused as it's not a molex connector. This pic shows all the cable that come pre-installed in the case.

If you don't have additional small 4-pins male fan plug(s) on the motherboard, other than the 4-pins plug for the CPU fan, you can use any of the small 3-pins male fan plugs on your motherboard, with fans that use the small 4-pin connector. When you connect the 4-pin connector to the 3-pin plug, the fan will spin at a constant speed, instead of variable speeds, as designed. But it will work nevertheless. Chassis fans with those small (dedicated) 4-pins connectors are thermostatically controlled. If your motherboard does offer additional 4-pins chassis fan connector(s) for thermostatically controlled fans, then the fan is controlled and configured in the BIOS of your motherboard, as is the CPU fan.

Strange to be here years after but my fan cables legit caught fire and I'm looking to replace the whole i/o fan controller
