980ti on 60hz 1080p tv overkill ?
hi guys
im thinking about getting a 980ti but i play on my 1080p tv is that overkill ?
i would get a 4k monitor but i cant afford both

Yes, it's overkill.
4k is a cool golly gee whiz nice to have but not many cards can run 4k above 30fps very well at all even a single Titan X or dual SLI 980s fail to render a full 60fps of 4k. I'd wait until DX12 and next gen Pascal architecture fully develop before caring about 4k. just my opinion.

Point being; if u sticking with 1080p for a while still, then a single 970 or 980 would suffice.

980ti way too slow for 4K simple as taht.

i hve a 680 4gb atm but its starting to show its age and i would like to run arkham knoghtt with all settings on utra and physx cranked up
