post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here
it will how what mobo and cpu you have
if it is that board get the correct chipset/usb/aduio/lan drivers for it
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3976#
http://valid.x86.fr/jzkmhl
hopefully that works
make sure they are in the same colored slots
will not cause the usb issues tho
try downloading the correct mobo drivers and install them
I tried downloading the USB drivers though. probably multiple times.
the only driver issues I could find were related to either usb drives or android. there might have been one or two that weren't but when I googled them, I found out they didn't matter(if they existed)
As for the USB issues, 2.0 doesn't have a Driver you can install/uninstall, as the OS has that built-in. So either the USB device hubs are screwed up, which u can remove and re-detect again to fix. Or I would reinstall the OS fresh, as it could be a USB related issue from within the Windows Registry.
3.0 Drivers are for the 3.0 ports only. And without that they may still function (depending on board) as 1.1/2.0 ports. So reinstall of the 3.0 driver won't help.
If were me and I was un-sure of how to address it I would have contacted the person/place who did the tech work and ask what if anything was changed, and also what they could do to address this issue, like perhaps swapping out this board for another of same model and see if the motherboard is the issue here. If they did change out your motherboard upon OS installation, then that has no bearing on the fact your hardware worked normally under WinVista if the hardware isn't the same now.

I have a Razer Naga and I never installed the synapse driver.
Edit: I'll try ivo2296's solution on that link.
