why firefox is slower now
it used to be the fastest brower in 2012

I have no problems running firefox. i have 14 gb of ram SSD DRIVE i7 cpu , you mite have a ADD-0N in firefox giving you problem you can Disable or remove Add-ons https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox/fix-problems

Try starting it in safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode
If it's faster, then you have some add-on or something like that slowing it down.

Add-ons/plug-ins may be slowing it down.
Try this..
1. Open run (press Windows + R)
2. type "firefox -P" and press enter
3. click create profile and follow the instructions
4. start firefox using newly created account
If it's still not smooth, idk re-install or something.

some of the new update I had to to a clean install of firefox, there was a big change in firefox download MozBackup.
