Where does foliage lag come from?
Hello, steam community. So, whenever I play games such as GTA V, Skyrim, or any other open game with a detailed world, and I happen to look at a collection of trees, bushes, or even buildings, I get frame rate lag. For example, I'm playing GTA V and I aim my camera at some of the tall buildings next to each other and my FPS goes from 40-50 to 20. I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to gaming on PC so I was just wondering what exactly I need to upgrade in order to rid this lag. I have a decent enough GPU to play Skyrim on Ultra High settings but my CPU isn't so great. I'll list my specs below.

Specs:

GPU: GTX 750 ti SC

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz 2.80GHz

RAM: 8.00 GB

Could be either of your main parts, I would lean towards the GPU on the GTX 750 Ti though.
2.80 GHz is enough for most games to run much faster than 40 to 50 fps.

Ah, thanks. I was worried it was my CPU at first. I'm looking to get a 970 soon. So, that should clear things up. :pleased:
