Issue with razer cortex
Hi, i wanted to test a game booster, and i found that razer cortex. I've tested many times and i have always the same issue, i start a game from razer cortex, and game improves a lot fps, for example, i tested it with FC4, with ultra settings i have 20-30fps, so i have to play with high settings, so, when i start it from razer cortex, with ultra setting is like 50-60 fps, but, after 2 o 3 minuts, for no reason, fps go down to 20-30. Is like the program stops working, and i dont know why this happens, the same with all other games.
This game booster improves a lot my fps rate, but i dont know why it stops working after a while playing... do you have any idea?

Sorry for my bad english :P and thanks.

Game booster software doesn't actually do much at all, aside from if you have a pretty low amount of RAM(3-4GB).

The only ways to increase performance without changing hardware are quitting programs(to reduce RAM usage on systems with not a lot of it), switching to lower settings, and overclocking.

Edit: you may want to check out this as well for some more information: http://technozed.com/razer-cortex-game-booster-review/

Just put FarCry4 on a mix of settings, learn what they do and set them as high as system can handle or to help reach a desired average FPS. DO NOT set any of those in-game options to Ultra unless u have a high-end GPU with at least 3 GB of VRAM. As below this, GPUs lacking VRAM will be bottlenecked in such a game as this when you apply Ultra settings.

Booster apps have nothing to do with FPS; all they help to do is close background apps and free up system RAM. Nothing more.

I have a 3GB VRAM GPU!

So if booster app doesn't have nothing to do with FPS why i'm getting that improvement for this short time?

What's your full system specs & OS?

What are your results like if u do clean bootup and never load up Cortex and just launch FarCry4?

I never tried before to kill all proces and i have to say that i feel the difference, at ultra is like 40fps without booting from cortex, but i get more fps while this short time when cortex is working.

specs:

r9 280x msi
i5 4570 3.2ghz
8gb ram
windows 7
