Razer Naga Hex stopped working
Well, I hope this is the right forum for this problem of mine since I'm not on here very often, but here we go...

I've bought a Razer Naga Hex (Some special League of Legends edition if it matters) last year in december, and ever since 3 months it has started having lagging movements, sometimes not miving at all in certain directions like up or down for a minute.

Now the worst problem is that yesterdaynight it has completely stopped working when I'm speaking about movement. All the hotkeys on it work, as do both the main mousebuttons, the mousewheel, etc. Everything works but if you slide it around it just won't move anymore. It started when my mouse started randomly lagging, if I moved it up for example it only did that at certain intervals with seemingly 2 seconds between them. When I plugged it out and in of the USB-port it didn't move my cursor at all anymore. I'd really like to know if someone knows a solution to this problem, I've searched the internet shortly but only saw a few answers that imply that it's either faulty, or the movement sensor (If that's the right name for it) is dirty.

If it matters anything, this morning I decided to rub some small item over the sensor itself, and then cursor did move then. It just doesn't move over any surface that doesn't stick into the hole where the sensor is itself.

Try cleaning the sensor lens with a Q-tip and Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 99%. Don't use any other liquids or ethanol. Isopropyl Alcohol at a very pure / high percentage will dry itself and leave no mark/liquid behind.

Or get a can of compressed air and use short / quick bursts.

Avoid using USB hubs or front USB ports... connect to varies USB ports at the back (trying USB 3.0 blue ports first if available).

Set mouse polling rate to 1000Hz and have raw input (no acceleration). Disconnect all other USB devices... then drop the mouse polling rate if still no luck.

However, most likely your sensor has been knocked out of position or damaged... without doing major surgery of pin point accuracy (it is extremely hard to realign back into place), if this is the case, it's time to get a replacement new one.

I would personally recommend the Razer DeathAdder series or Logitech G500 series. Those are built to last and have worked for me 8 years+ with solid gaming. Couple with a Razer Goliathus Speed Edition mousepad, for a fast smooth glide.

Thanks to both comments. I tried the second solution and that fixed it, until like 2 seconds after when I plugged it back into multiple ports in the back.

I then cleaned the sensor with a can of compressed air, set the polling rate to 1000Hz and like before, tried multiple USB-ports with no succes whatsoever.

Now I'm just gonna see if some techy friend of mine is able to fix the sensor displacement if that's the problem, and I guess it's ready to get a new mouse then, probably the Razer DeathAdder since that one was on my mind aswell.

Again, thanks for the comments and trying to help :)

Sorry to say, I have not. I just bought a new mouse from a different producer. I hope you'll find a solution, and if not try to claim your warranty if that's still possible. Best of luck to you.

I have a razer naga hex red. Which is pretty much the same mouse. I started experiencing these issues. I discovered if I lower the polling rate, the issues seem to go away. I am guessing alien cross talking is occurring in the cord. It is possible the cord is wearing out and this is the alternative to getting a new mouse right away.
