3 Pin Fan Control Via Voltage?
I have heard there are other motherboards around created by Asrock and other manufacturers that support fan control with both 3-pin via voltage control and 4-pin via PWM. On the FM2A55M Motherboard, there are 3 fan connection pins. Two 4-Pin Fan Connectors for the Front Intake of my case and the CPU cooler, and 1 3-Pin Fan Connector for the Exhaust fan. The 4-Pin Connector for the Front intake is left unused because the fan uses a molex connection, and I am happy with its speed and quietness, giving good airflow. However the Exhaust Fan 3-Pin is too short to reach the 4-Pin connection point on the motherboard and because its 3-Pin, it cant't be controlled via PWM. Does anyone know whether this motherboard or any other Windows program can control the voltage of the 3-Pin connection to alter speed? As far as I am aware, SpeedFan only works with 4Pin PWM, and not 3PIN Voltage.. Any ideas?

3 and 4 pin fans both managed, just 4 pin precise and controlled more smoothly rather than in steps, as a 3-pin

4pin header (not molex) is pwm
the fan will always get 12v and the fans controller will adjust speed according to pwm signal
3pin is 0-12v and the fan will change speeds according to the voltage

to use voltage control on a pwm header, you need to go to bios and tell it to use 3pin intead of 4pin pwm for each header

How can you control a non PWM header (3-PIN) header in BIOS? I see no options for it, I only see options for the CPU and PWM Fan headers, and the options available are only for adjusting speeds.
