xbox 360 wireless controller turning off during rumble
Hey guys, I have a really weird problem. My controller turns off during certain rumbles.

For example, dodging in Dark Souls causes my controller to rumble and the light to slightly dim, see here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2il2TwnGb7c

Driving in car in Just Cause 2 causes to 50/50 chance either to rumble or turn off.

Exploding grenade under my feed didnt seem to do anything. The controller rumbled as it should. No dimming, no turning off.

Getting hit by boss in Dark Souls caused it to turn off.

Testing the rumble motors in x360ce didnt cause it to dim or turn off..

I suspect it COULD be batteries, but then why would it cause it to dim or turn off only during certain rumbles and other would be fine? I don get it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

most likely low/dead battery

Yeah. Changed batteries and it works. But super weird since it turned off only during certain rumbles.

the motors draw more power, low battery will not hold voltage under higher load

But I tried running them both in x360ce at max power and nothing happened. Weird.

I would just disable Vibration in games, as it will extend your batteries quite a bit compared to when playing alot of games with vibration enabled and actively using the motors alot.
