x360ce files must be extracted to each root game folder u wish to use it on.
Some games however MIGHT be hit or miss with this, typically the x360ce files should be extracted to whichever folder houses the root game EXE file.
x360ce allows custom key-binds for your controller for each game via the config file that will end up being extracted to each of the game folders u put the files into.
See if others chime in with some tips. I know some refer to the MotionJoy app, but I never personally tried that one as I never had a need to.
IMHO I would not go Gioteck or anything for BT on PC, especially Controller.
But instead get Logiecth F710 as it has the PS3 style layout, but is full compatible for both X-Input & Direct-Input. Fully 360 compatible on Windows PC, so even Steam and Games have no issue with it being seen as a 360 controller, despite the PS style layout. Logitech provides it's own USB Wireless Nano Receiver so you don't have to invest in BT Dongle or a Microsoft USB Wireless Receiver
Turn on the Controller > Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printer; you should see it listed in there when it's powered on and connected to your USB Dongle. Then right-click the Controller > click Game Controller Settings. Click Advanced and ensure it's the selected one from that list. Click Ok to close that, then click Properties and under Test you should be able to see that everything works. Via realtime feedback when you move the sticks, triggers and press any buttons or move the d-pad. If the device shows but no feedback in Test, then it could be problem with the controller.
Please ensure you followed their directions for the basic install purposes: http://www.gioteck.com/setup-guide-vx-1-vx-2-controllers-pc (scroll down to VX2-Wireless)
X360CE downloads are here:

Latest versions are here...
