Minimum requirement to run steam on a tablet
Hi,

I want to buy a tablet running on Windows, so I can play small games when I'm at work (we have time to play during downtimes!).

I don't want to invest a lot in it because I already have good equipement at home.

I found a tablet running on Win 8.1, here's the spec :

8" 800 x 1280 IPS Panel
Intel Bay Trail - TZ3735 CPU
Quad Core, 1.33 GHz
1 GB DDR 3 RAM
16 GB Flash Storage

I want to play games like : Hero Siege, One finger death punch, Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne etc.

The tablet is worth 175$ (canadian dollars, so around 130$ US I would guess).

What do you think?

yea I mean it definatly isn't ment for hardcore gaming but it will do the job if you want to play some simple games like the ones you listed. You should be able to play everything on low although they might not be very playable with 5 to 20 fps.

Steam Client will run, as long as it is the full Windows and not Windows RT
However, your DX/OGL games will not. Unless they can run on such specs, which is highly doubtful. First off, it lacks RAM and Storage space.

You're gonna want a tablet like Dell Venue Pro or Microsoft Surface 3

All that info and no where is there a Tablet brand name/model#; if u share that, would be much more helpful. Read up on the product before buying. Most are not anymore powerful then your average smart phone, like iPhone5/6, Galaxy4/5

The one at 120$
HP Stream S7-5701CA 7" 32GB Windows 8.1 Tablet With Intel Atom Z3735G Processor - Black Licorice

The one at 170$
Digital 2 Wintel Tablet (D2-801W), 8", 1.33 GHz Quad Core Intel Bay Trail-T Z3735, 1GB RAM, 16GB Flash, Windows 8.1, White

Sorry I should have give that information at first, you're right.

Like I said, I only want to game with very small games, I think that Binding is running on flash, but I don't know for the others.

I want to play little hack and slash, or some emulated games on snes.

Why not just get NVIDIA Shield Tablet
While that is Android, you can stream PC games from your main gaming system if you have powerful enough NVIDIA GPU. Plus that tablet has NVIDIA Tegra GPU, which opens the way for many games that non-Tegra Android devices can't run.

Nice idea, but I can't use VPN at work or any other streaming application.

I need something that can run the game on his own.

I'll probably go buy one of the tablet I saw at 200$, test it, and return it within 30 days if it's not working like I want. I'll update my post when I'll get the tablet later this week to let you know. :)

Ok, i tested the tablet and it's not strong at all. Binding of Isaac is lagging as hell. :( Thanks for your help.
