Mouse Scroll Wheel Problem (Logitech G502)
I have a Logitech G502, and it is a fine mouse for me. I am running into an issue though where my mouse wheel has become insanely loose. Before it would stay firmly in place unless attempting a scroll. Now the lightest flick of it will spin it like a skateboard wheel with new bearings.

This wasn't a gradual change with the mouse wheel either, I recently moved my computer and setup and found the mouse in this state.

While I feel like this is a hardware issue (the mouse getting smacked in the back of the car by anything), I just wanted to asked anyone if this is some sort of adjustable feature the mouse has or if I just simply popped the mouse wheel into a weird way without knowing.

Thanks

This is the worst feature ever implemented for a mouse. What genius came up with this idea? I'm fighting with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wheel half the time cause it's scrolling by itself until someone told me how to turn it off.

First off its a great feature.

As with many mice, setting how much it scrolls in the OS doesn't always work out well in many games. So the free-scroll helps a ton in games that have in-game menus and items to scroll through.

To be honest, it's one of my favorite features on mine. Being able to choose between freespin and standard wheel is great.

Have you fixed it yet? It's a button, just behind the scroll wheel. It toggles between free spinning and clicky scrolling modes. Click that once and it should be fixed.

Personally, I love the feature, but your mileage may vary.

you saved my life, i was about to return it to the seller 💀

careful bumping threads, mods tend to lock them now

which i disagree, if a thread is still relevant it should not be locked
