Laptop Cooling pad fan speed
what fan speed would be recommended for my lenovo y50, slightly overclocked? right now i am playing lots of next gen games such as gta v, far cry 4 etc and i am planning to get the witcher 3 too, which i heard makes laptops overheat really quickly.
right now i am either considering the cooler master ergostand iii r notepal xl
the ergostand looks better and i prefer to have an elevated laptop, but it has a significantly slower fan speed.
my budget is not high, but i would like a good cooling pad for milf overclocking which can (at least slightly) elevate my laptop and have a decent looking design.
i know that a cooling pad wont do as much as liquid cooling on a desktop but it is better than having no cooling pads at all

i think cooling pads run at max rpm since they just draw power from usb? correct me if im wrong though.

well they advertise different fan rates(rpm) so will that help with temperature or is the size/positions of the fans better

That Coolermaster[www.coolermaster.com] cooling stand has a built in rheostat to adjust the fan speed. I personally will never even mildly overclock a laptop, since they are generally at the cooling limit based on their reference designs.

well i only overclock my laptop when i play next gen games such as the witcher 3 so that i can get a slightly higher fps. i dont play games for very long, usually only for 40-70mins at a time. at other times, my laptop switches back to its integrated gpu
