Windows 7 R7 260X - Audio via HDMI doesn't work anymore
This is driving me mad. I had audio output via HDMI working and it was a pleasure to play on the big screen, laying in my comfy TV chair. I did not touch the hardware or the software but the sound stopped working. The HDMI audio is active, set as default device, I can read "the thing is fine and can be used", the driver is reported to be the latest, yadda yadda...Windows thinks all is OK. If I push the test button I get a popup window saying "Error with replay" and no SOUND.

Any ideas ?

That seems ok, but try unisnstalling it. Windows will then reinstall the default audio drives (HD audio device), if that does not work you can always reinstall your audio drivers or upadte them at anytime.

check windows updates history
uninstall any drivers that it installed
Uninstalling and even rebooting with the telly connected didn't help.

Hmm, update history. I will check this or go back to my 360. I want to play games, not windows admin.

Hmm, there are only Udates and Security updates. Would it say Driver Update or how do I figure which one was driver related ?
