Need shader model 3.0
Almost every one of my games needs shader model 3.0. i have directx 11, and Intel Q35 Express Chipset family.

If i need a new graphics card if you could reccomend me a cheap(ish) one that would be great!

If your graphics card has DirectX 11, it definitely has Shader Model 3.0 :)

Install the graphics card drivers
If you have an AMD graphics card: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
If you have nVidia graphics card: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
If you have Intel: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
To know which one you need, go to Device Manager (press the windows key and "R" on your keyboard simultaneously) and into the window that pops up, type in: devmgmt.msc

There you will see your video card under Display Adapters

cos vvvvvv runs in flash player
idk you have the drivers installed wrong ... or you could also try downloading this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
but it's probably the drivers ... what graphics card do you have in your computer and what driver did u install ? (and did u reboot your pC after installing the driver ? )

That video chipset doesn't support SM 3.

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3100
• 3D enhancements enable greater flexibility and scalability and improved realism with support for Microsoft DirectX* 9.0c Shader Model 2.0, OpenGL* 1.4. Intel® Graphics also support the highest levels of the Windows Vista* Aero experience.

So yeah i have a problem that was came out of my PC i think.... I have Intel(R) Q9655/Q963 Express Chipest Family (To be honest i tried the solution in the forum but it didn't work). So the problem is, I was Finished installed CS:GO and when i launch up the game an Error says: Engine Error: Your graphics must support model 3.0 to run this game
Device Info:
Marked unsupported: 0
Supports PCF sampling: 1
DriverName: "Intel(R) Q965/963 Express Chipest Family"
VendorID: 0x8086, DeviceID: 0x2992
DriverHigh: 0x0008000E, DriverLow: 0x000A078A
DXLevel: 90, MinDXSupportLevel: 90, MaxDXSupportLevel: 90

I have no idea how to fix this Problem

You don't necro up a thread from 2014, and you buy a video card that supports shader model 3.0. Which is any card in recent history.

If you have such an old PC i wonder if it can actually run the game, even if you have a videocard that meets the requirements.
my mobile intel 4 series used to support opengl 2.0 but now it wont support it on windows 10
it used to support it on windows 7 any fix to get it working or should i put windows 7 back on?
