What's it worth and how much better would it be vs a gtx 260?

if tomshardware is to be believed, gtx 260 is a notch higher than gts 450.

maybe grab another gtx 260 ? CL near me has them at ~$30 - 40

Yeah I've seen them for $20.

But I want to run a 50" 1080p tv via HDMI along with 2 19" via one dvi and one VGA (or 2 vga).

I'm pretty sure SLI can't enable extra monitor outputs? If it can, I'll pickup that am3 sli mobo for $40 on ebay I just looked at and another gtx 260.

gts 250 and gts 450 are about the same
(250 has twice the ram speed at half the bandwidth, all other specs are the same)

a 280-216 will be better than a 450
