Until u have a new SSD/HDD of larger size, I would simply backup some data from the SSD, and off-load what you can to another drive, whatever u may have available could help, such as external drive, flash drive, etc.
Or at the very least, uninstall some games to free up space. Also may want to run Windows Disk Cleanup if u haven't done that in a while as that can help clean up the large amounts of temporary Windows Updates data still stored on the drive.
SSD affects only your loading times. Performace gain in games is 0,5-1 FPS compared HDDs. Thats depends almost entirely on your CPU, GPU and RAM.
- Disable the Hibernation File
- Disable the PageFile, then after a reboot, manually set it to 4096 MIN & MAX
- Flush out Junk/Temp files with Disk Cleanup and CCleaner
- Flush out the System Restore Points and afterward, just make one new one of your own, so u do have a good one to fall back on if needed.

DO NOT do Firmware Update! That should only ever be done when u wish to wipe the drive, as required for ssd firmware update.
However you can use it to properly check it's SMART status and to also ensure TRIM is enabled and such.
