brand/model
if its th ms branded one, jsut get the 360 controller driver
and it shoudl work
if its still having issues, it could be the battery in the controller
- Verify the system sees it properly via Control Panel > Devices & Printers
- Press the X/Guide button on the Controller to turn it on
- Press and Hold the button on the Receiver until blinking
- Once blinking, quickly press the small Connect button (located on the top) on the Controller-side
Once connected, both LEDs on Reciver and Controller should turn solid. You only have a very short time for them to connect, so if the Reciver goes back to solid LED and the Controller is still blinking, or going in a circle, try this process again. Once connected, u should now see a seperate "Controller" device within Devices & Printers.
The only point of the Xbox Accessory App is the ability to show the Controller's Battery Status on-screen. If it says it is not compatable, u most likely downloaded the wrong version. Make sure u install the 64bit version to coinside with 64bit OS.
